Funeral services for Arthur Daniels, 71, were held Monday, Nov. 16 , 1998, at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Pastor Jack Weida Officiated with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Arthur died Fri. Nov, 13 at the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee, Ia.
Arthur Dale Daniels was born July 18, 1927 to Fred A. and Blanche E.(Anderson) Daniels Sr. in Aurelia. Arthur graduated from the Aurelia High School in 1945. He attended Buena Vista College and recieved a bachelor of Arts degree in 1951. Arthur was a lifelong resident of Aurelia. He owned and operated Daniels Well Digging Service, and he was a Master Capenter. Arthur was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the church choir, served on numerous church boards and was a communion steward for many years. He was a member of the Buens Vist Barbershoppers for 33 years, the Serpaci Car Club and the Aurelia Kiwanis; Arthur liked to hunt and fish and enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, growing roses and his bird.
Preceeding Arthur in death were his parents; 1 sister , Betty in 1929; 1 brother, Fred Jr. in 1959.
Survivors include 2 nephews , Fred Daniels III and his wife Donna, Spirit Lake; 1 niece, Juliann Cullen, Riverside Calif, 2 great neices , Kristen Daniels and Amanda Cullen; one greatnephew, John Daniels; and 1 sister-in-law, Virginia Daniels, Aurelia.
