Clyde P. Kudrle, 83, died early today in the Newell Good Samaritan Center after a brief illness. His home was at 210 Euclid Ave. Cherokee Ia.
Prior to that he had lived on farms in Afton and Rock townships.

Mr. Kudrle was born June, 1, 1898, at Smithland. He married Lois Banister on June 14, 1923, at Cherokee. He had farmed and also taught veterans agricultural classes in Aurelia and Cherokee and was also an electrician.
He had served on the Red Cross Board, was a member of the Sanford Museum Assn. and Sioux Valley Hospital Aux. He was a veteran of WW I.
Survivors are a son John and his wife Ruby of Alta; Mrs. Archie (Ruth) Sexton of Newell and Mrs. James(Margaret) Fitzpatrick of Davenport.; Six grandchildren; brothers, Leroy, S. Sioux City, Neb. and Chuck, Eugene Ore. and a sister, Mrs. Scott ( Ortha) DeMots, Seattle Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on Oct. 15, 1975 and a brother.
Services are pending at the Boothby Funeral Home.
