Charley Lee Moore, 81 of Washta died early Fri. morning at Cherokee Care Center after a long illness. He was a resident of the Washta Community for 42 years where he farmed.
Charley was born on Apr. 8, 1900 in Missouri. On June 14, 1919 he married Edith Perry in Dakota City Nebr.
Survivors are his wife, 5 sons, George of Cherokee, Charles of Ardmore Ok. Richard of Bronson Ia. Stanley of Huntsville, Mo, and Frank of Adak Island AK. A daughter, Mary Conley of Omaha ; a brother , Lewis of Ulysess, Kan, a sister, Golda Brooks of Lakin, Kan.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Washta Methodist Church. The Rev. Wallace Palmer and the Rev. Bob Davis, Cherokee, will officiate. There will be a family prayer service at 1:45 p.m.. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Washta. Greenwood funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
