Alice C. Timmins, 85, of Cherokee died Fri., May 11 in Marian Health Center, Sioux City, following a brief illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church with Rev. Richard Ries officiating. Buriel will be in the Mt. Calrary Cemetery. There will be a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Monday and a rosery at 8 p.m. by Catholic Daughters of America at Greenwoods Funeral Home.
She was born, Oct. 8, 1904, in Cherokee to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Timmins. She attended Cherokee schools and graduated from Wilson High School in 1921. She worked at the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce, then secretary for Caswell Mfg. Co. and later as exective secretary for the Chamber, retireing in 1970.
She was a member of CD of A, Cherokee County Historical Society. Geneology Club and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Mrs. Phillip (Helen) Luce, Santa Ana Ca., and Mrs. Staver (Mary) Hyndman, Cherokee and 1 brother Claude of Phoenix AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
