Florence Anderson, 82, of Alta died Wed. Mar. 22, 1995 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Sat, Mar, 1995 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta. Paster Dick Dahle will officiate with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Aurelia, Ia. Barker Funeral Home in Alta is in charge of arrangement.

Florence was born May 24, 1912 to George and Clara ( Huseman) Schafer in Diamond Twp.in Cherokee County Ia. Her childhood years were spent in the Hanover area and later graduated from Galva High School.

She married Homer Anderson Dec. 2 , 1936 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Parsonage in Aurelia. The couple lived on farm in the Cherokee and Aurelia area in Silver and Diamond Twp.prior to moving to a farm north of Alta in Elk Twp. in Buena Vista couny where they farmed for 36 years.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA. She was a membwe of the Busy Bee Club and the birtday Club, and also a member of the Because We Care Club.

Florence is survived by 1 son, Larry and his wife Sue of Honolulu Hi. 2 daughters, DyAnne and her husband, Marvin Broveak of McCook Lake S.D. and Kathleen and her husband Don Stuhr of Alta; 6 grand-children 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer and Brother, Erwin Schafer.
