Garland D Demaree, 79, of Centralia, Wash. passed away Feb. 26, 1997 at Providrence Centralia hospital.

No services are planned at this time and cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Striklin Funeral Chapel in Centralia.
Mr Demaree was born Dec. 23, 1917 at Madison, Ind. to Earl T. and Sylvia ( Riggs ) Demaree, was raised and attended school in Iowa. During WW II he served as a paratrooper and remained in Berlin for a short time as part of the Occupational Forces . He married Vera Crane on Jan 14, , 1940. She passed away Nov. 9, 1960. He moved from Iowa to the timber country of the Pacific North West. An avid sports outdoorsman he enjoyed firearms . he had his own sawmill, and also enjoyed reminiscing with friends and family about his time in Europe. He had lived in Centralia since 1987' Survibors are his son, Brion D. Red Deer, Alberta, Canada; His daughter, Maree A. Quade, Centrailia, 3 grand-children, and his brother, Robert of Iberia Mo.
