Betty Daniels, 4 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daniels of Aurelia, Ia. died in a Sioux City hospital Wed. Aug. 14, 1929, following an attack of pneumonia.
The little girl had swallowed an open safety pin about 5 weeks ago and at first it had lodged in her esophagus, but latter moved to her stomach where it was still lodged at the time of her death. The physicians who attended Betty, believed that the pin indirectly was the cause of her pneumonia attack.
Within the last 2 weeks the girl had been given 2 blood trasfusions in an effort to save her life.

Betty was born in Aurelia in 1925.
Besides her parents she is survived by 2 brothers, Fred Jr. and Arthur of Aurelia.
The body was sent to Aurelia for funeral service and burial.
