Funeral Services for Virginia Daniels, 75, of Aurelia and Des Moines, was held Sat. Mar. 4, 2000 at 10:30 AM at the First Congregational Church in Aurelia, IA with Lay Pastor Bruce Rapp officiating and Moments of Reflection by Dr. Floyd Pace. Buriel was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia. Wharton-Redig funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
Virginia died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, near her home in Des Moines as the result of a car-pedestrion accident.
She was born June 25, 1924, the daughter of Helmer L. and Ruby (Ingersoll)Carlberg in Aurelia, Iowa. She graduated from Aurelia High School in 1941. She married Fred Daniels Jr. in Cherokee. Virginia had been church administrator at Knox Presbyterian Church and also at Westover Baptist Church in Des Moines. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Aurelia, the Knox Presbyterian Church in Des Moines, and Waveland Park Order of Eastern Star in Des Moines. She enjoyed her cats, reading, gardening, feeding wild birds and animals, and was an avid Iowa State Cyclones sports fan
Survivors include her one son, Fred and his wife Donna Daniels of Spirit Lake Ia, One daughter, Juliann Cullen of Riverside, Calif, Three grandchildren, Kristen McKay, John Patrick Daniels and Amanda L. Cullen .
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband Fred on Nov. 17, 1959.
