CANNON, GOBELS, NICHOLS, TENNEY

Fred Forrest Cannon died at Rooseveld at 3:15 a. m. Friday, June 2.(1944) Roseau Times- Region, June 8, 1944.
He had been ill a year and was bedridden since the first of the year. Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon in the Church of God at Roosevelt and burial was made in the Silent City cemetery at that place. Rev. Neil conducted the service.

Mr. Cannon was born Sept. 9, 1856, in Wisconsin. He was married to Carrie Gobels At Cherokke, Iowa, June 3, 1882. The family came to this county and homesteaded south of Warroad thirty-two years ago. Later they moved to Badger and from there they came to Roosevelt in 1912. His occupation was that of farming.

Surviving are the following sons and daughter, Charley Cannon, Earl Cannon and Mrs. Harry Tenney, Seattle, Wash. He had five sisters and a brother living.
