Funeral services for Carrie Addie Cannon, who died January 19 at the Warroad Hospital after being ill since April of 1961, were held Tuesday, January 23 at 1:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall at Roosevelt with Rev. Arthur Ortmann officiating. Interment was in Silent City Cemetery.

Carrie Gobel was born December 29, 1865 at Rock Grove, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. James Gobel, since deceased. She was married to Fred Cannon at Cherokee, Iowa on June 3, 1883 and they moved to Roseau in 1901 and to Roosevelt in 1914.

She is survived by her husband and by the following children: Maude, (Mrs. Harry Tenney), Earl and Charles, all of Roosevelt. Seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, three sisters and a daughter.

She was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the American Legion Auzillary.

Pall bearers at the funeral were Leslie and Leonard Turner, ruben Grill, William Nordine, Merle Chase, Charles Putney. funeral arragnements were by Hederson Funeral Home, Roseau.
