LARRABEE, Iowa -- Blanche Bredman, 87, of Larrabee passed away Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Countryside Estates in Cherokee, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, with the Rev. Dennis Hopes officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery, Larrabee. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Blanche was born March 18, 1918, in Larrabee, to Clarence H. and Ada (Morton) Fessler. She attended Larrabee Consolidated Schools.

She was married to Albert Bredman on Jan. 6, 1937, in Spencer, Iowa. She had lived in the Larrabee area all her life.

She enjoyed dancing in her younger years, doing word puzzles, playing bingo and loved her time spent on the farm. She was a member of Larrabee United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Beverly and Roger Beck of Cherokee, Iowa, and Janice and Richard Mason of Early, Iowa; four grandchildren, Kevin Rassel of Sioux City, Brenda and Rob Fulling of Seattle, Wash., Teresa Norland of Wesley, Iowa, and Chris Mason of Early, Iowa; 11 great-grandchildren, William Hotz Jr., Brett and Sara Phipps, Kasondra, Kyle and Emily Norland, Albert and Riley Stevens, Christa Marler, Reanen Rassel and Jennifer Jordahl; three great-great-grandchildren, Jade and Felicity Hotz and Trinity Marler; and a brother and his wife, Clarence H. and Rosemary Fessler Jr. of Larrabee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert on Jan. 18, 1970; a granddaughter, Wanda Rassel; a grandson, Ronald Rassel; a sister, Edna Johnson; and a brother, Alfred Fessler.
