AURELIA, Iowa -- Bill L. Fox, 75, of Aurelia died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, at Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Aurelia, with the Rev. Harold Werley officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.

William Leroy Fox was born July 19, 1930, north of Aurelia, in Afton Township, the son of Clyde and Geneva (Sexton) Fox. He graduated from Aurelia High School in 1948.

On Feb. 4, 1950, he married Norma Jean Nelson at the Carmel Lutheran Church in Marcus, Iowa. He owned and operated Nelson's Dairy in Aurelia from 1951 to 1968. He then worked for Well's Dairy and later for Farmers Cooperative in Aurelia.

He served several terms as a trustee to First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed sharing his woodworking ability and completed many projects for the church, community, family and friends. He was a member of the Aurelia Heritage Society and used his talents in the restoration of the Heritage House. Loyalty to his family, his church and all his friends was prime to his life.

Survivors include his wife, Norma of Aurelia; a daughter and her husband, LeeAnn and Dean Peterson of Dayton, N.J.; two sons, Jeff Fox and his wife, Peg and Deloy Fox, all of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, Nichole and her husband, Brian Smith, Abby Fox, Seth Peterson and his wife, Jennifer and Andrew Peterson; a great-grandchild, Derek Peterson; two sisters, Louise Bugh of Cherokee, Iowa, and Tena Mae and her husband, Charles Galvin of Aurelia; six sisters-in-law, Arlene and her husband, Don Stohrer of Homosasa, Fla., Doris Watson of Sioux City, Doloris and her husband, Orville Tapper of Marcus, Iowa, Betty and her husband, Larry Kolpin of Aurelia, Shirley and her husband, Jerry Drzycimski of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Lucille Nelson of Aurelia; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a special uncle, Estel Sexton; and three brothers-in-law, Clayton Bugh, Blair Watson and Ken Nelson.
