A Sad Death

Mrs. Mary Strain died at the home of her father, J.M. Mills, in Cleghorn, Oct. 25, 1892, aged 23 years and 10 months. A little over a year ago she was married to Mr. Frank Strain and since has come to her crowning of motherhood. A few weeks of previous life and they were called to lay “our baby’ in the Eternal arms. Her health, always delicate, did not rally after this event. She went to Nebraska in the hope that a change might prove of benefit, but slowly and surely the fell destroyer, consumption, claimed its victim. Three weeks ago she returned, since which time she was hailed rapidly. The funeral services took place yesterday at her father’s home and the remains were laid to rest in the Marcus cemetery.
