Mrs. Martha Campbell, after a lingering illness, died at her residence in this city at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, aged 74 years. The funeral services were held at the M.E. Church at 2 o’clock on Sunday and were largely attended. The deceased was an old resident of Cherokee and leaves a family of grown up children to mourn the loss of a kind Christian mother.
