A Quiet Wedding

A quiet wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Pull on Monday of this week, when their daughter, Miss Louise Holbrook, was united in marriage with Mr. J.B. Garnsey. The ceremony was performed at 11 o’clock in the forenoon by Rev. Carlton Coyle, pastor of the Presbyterian church. None but the family of the bride and a few near relatives were present. The young couple left on the noon train for Waterloo where the groom has a responsible position in the shops of the Illinois central railroad company, and where a new hone had been prepared for their occupancy.

The bride wore a very rich and handsome costume of pearl blue brocaded silk crepe de chine, skirt made with full train, bodice pointed at neck, finished with large Watteau bow at the neck reaching bottom train long blue kid gloves.

The bride was the recipient of many valuable presents. She has grown up from childhood in Cherokee, and the heart’s best wishes of a host of friends go with her to her new home. Mr. Garnsey was master mechanic of the Cherokee shops for some time and proved himself a gentleman worth of the high esteem in which he is held The Democrat congratulates him and wish for both unalloyed happiness and prosperity.
