Wedding at Meriden

Meridan Call: A very pretty wedding was solemnized in the Presbyterian church last Tuesday morning, the contracting parties being John Lamont and Tena Phillipson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.P. Phillpson of Liberty township. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C.H. Betts. The church was beautifully decorated with plants and flowers, the happy couple standing beneath a beautiful floral bell during the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Lamont left on the 11:30 train for Storm Lake where they spent a couple of days. As they were boarding the train, showers of rice descended upon them from all sides, until the depot platform had the appearance of a recent snow storm. They were accompanied to the lake by Misses Anna Miles, Lizzie Lamont and Martha Phillipson.
