The Cherokee Democrat, January 24, 1892

Invitations are out announcing the marriage of Mr. Fred Kludas and Miss E. Blanche Turner to take place at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Turner, tomorrow evening at 8 o’clock.

Full account from March 2, 1892

Thursday evening, February 25th, Emma Blanche Turner and Frederick J. Kludas were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Turner, the Rev. Stire officiating. The ceremony was very impressive, the responses of the contracting parties clear and distinct. The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of rich (unreadable) of roses faille silk, trimmed in silver. The groom looked dignified and happy in the conventional suit. After the ceremony, which took place at eight o’clock, and congratulations over, the company repaired to the dining room, where a bountiful wedding supper was served to members of the two families only. Rev. Stire excepted. The tale was prettily embellished with flowers, one especially pretty basket, the gift of Mrs. G.W. Young, occupying the center. The brides’ cake was daintily cut by the bride. After supper the guests were invited into the back parlor to look at the numerous wedding presents, after which came some charming vocal and instrumental music by Rev. Stire. The bride is a petite blonde and is a general favorite with her friends and associates. The groom needs no introduction, having been for some time associated with his brother-in-law, Mr. P.F. Fassler, in the grocery business. The wedding was very quiet and informal. After a brief stay at the bride’s home the young couple intend to proceed to one of the farms owned by the groom’s father east of town, where they will make their home. May happiness and prosperity go and stay with them is the wish of a host of friends.

(List of presents and who gave them is included. Email me for the list)
