Thanks Barb for the reply. Your information was useful for Barney's family.

In addition, I received a copy of Margaret Sweeney's obituary from 1930. This definitely rewrites a bit of my family history. I am still trying to figure out what happened to force the Sweeney children to be scattered across NE Iowa between 1897 and 1900. I'm suspecting it has something to do with Maggie being at the Cerro Gordo County Poor Farm in the 1900 census. Don't know if she had a mental breakdown or what . . . research will continue and I will keep the board posted.
