Mrs. Morene service set for Thursday

Requiem high Mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Charles (Sandra K.) Morene, 21, at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. P. J. Maquire will be celebrant.
Mrs. Morene died suddenly Saturday at a Mason City hospital

She was born Nov. 17, 1940, at Windon, Minn. daughter of Frances and Ione (Patton) McMenimen.
As a child she moved with her parents to Mason City and later to Dougherty, where she attended St. Patrick School, and was active in 4-H work.

After graduation from St. Patrick School, Dougherty in 1958, she entered nurse's training at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital of Nursing and was graduated in 1961. She has been a nurse at St. Joseph's Merch Hospital since that time.
During her training she was a member of the Christophers and the Student Council and during her senior year, a member of the perfect of the Sodality.

She was married to Charles Morene Sept. 30, 1961, at St. Patrick's Church, Dougherty.
Surviving are her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis McMenimen, Tempe, Ariz., two brothers, Larry McMenimen, U. S. Navy, Norfolk, Va., and Jimmy McMemimen, U. S. Navy, Pawtuxant, Md., a sister, Margaret McMenimen, at home with her parents, and a grandmother, Margaret McMenimen, Dougherty.
She was a member of the Iowa Nurses Association, the Red Cross and the Dubuque Council of Catholic Nurses and St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Burial will be in the St. Joseph's section of Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Hogan-Mckee Colonial Chapel until the time of services.
Rosaries were set at the chapel for 7:30 p.m. Monday by the Sodality and Mercy Alumni and the Dubuque Council of Catholic Nurses and at 8 p.m. for St. Joseph's parish.
