FUNERAL of W. J. Hudson

The funeral of the late Wesley J. Hudson, an old resident of Mason City and a cousin of H. E. Hudson, who lives near Dougherty, was held in Mason City Friday afternoon at three o'clock.
Rev. W.W. Carlton officiating at the service.

Wesley J. Hudson was born January 27, 1840, in Erie county, N.Y. died May 22, 1909 at Hot Springs, S.D. of pneumonia.
His parents moved to Winnebago county, Ill., when he was two years old where he grew to manhood. He enlisted in August 1861, in the Eleventh Illinois voluntoor Infantry and served three years and was wounded during the Vicksburg campaign. He came to Iowa and Franklin county in January 1874 and lived in that county until the spring of 1896 when he moved to Mason City, Iowa where he has made his home since.
He was married to Lavina Graves, October 24, 1875, and they have one child, Marie, 17 years old.
He leaves besides his wife and daughter, one brother, T. E. Hudson of Hampton.
The remains in charge of W.B. Bryan who was at Hot Springs at the time of Mr. Hudson's death, arrived Wednesday from the west.
