ESSINGTON, Pa. --- Mildred D. Quist Campbell, 78, of Essington, Tinicum, Pa., a former waitress at the Tinicum Inn, died Sunday (July 9, 1995) at the Wallingford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service was held on Saturday (July 15, 1995) at St. John's Tinicum Lutheran Church, 600 Jansen Ave., Essington. Burial was private.

The James F. Knoetgen Funeral Home, Ridley Township, was in charge of funeral arrangements.

She was born in Dawson, Minn., Mrs. Campbell was a former Mason City, Iowa, resident and lived in Essington for the last 43 years. She worked for the Tinicum Inn as a waitress for 27 years and retired in 1987.

Mrs. Campbell belonged to the Tinicum Township Senior Citizens Club and St. John's Tinicum Lutheran Church.

Widow of Merle B. Campbell, who died in 1985, she is survived by a son, Merle C. Campbell of Malvern, Pa.; a brother, Arnold Quist of Three Rivers, Calif.; and a sister, Marie Buseth of Owatonna, Minn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Charles Newell of Mason City, Iowa.
