MASON CITY -- Suanne Birkner, 48, of Mason City, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit- Hospice of North Iowa, in Mason City.

Per Suanne’s wishes, her body has been cremated and services are pending at this time.

Suanne was born July 7, 1970, the daughter of Raymond and Sandra (Henthorne) Birkner in Seoul, Korea. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and then furthered her education at Hesston College in Kansas.

Suanne enjoyed coloring, baking cupcakes, and listening to music. She had an infectious smile and always cared about everyone else’s well-being.

Suanne is survived by her parents, Raymond (Brenda) Birkner of Maine and Sandra Henthorne of North Carolina; fiancé, Eric Grell of Mason City; five siblings, Adonica Hoadley of North Carolina, Troy Birkner of New Hampshire, Kalon Birkner of Maine, Nathan Birkner of Arizona and Stacy (Kevin) Rucker of Clear Lake; nieces and nephews, Derrick Hinton, Detra Hinton, Journey Rucker and Kaylee Treslen; and her dog, Kujo.

Arrangements are pending with Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel.
