October 25, 2018, 2018Ralston “Rolly” E. Bloomfield, age 86, died Monday, October 22, 2018 in Glendale, AZ. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Rolly was born on May 11, 1932 in Mason City, IA to Anita and Ellis Bloomfield. He served in the US Air Force and married Dixie Martin on January 31, 1955. He graduated from community college and then attended the University of Utah. Rolly and Dixie returned to Mason City in 1957 where he worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years. He retired in 1990 and in 1994 they permanently moved to Mesa, AZ.
Rolly is survived by his wife, Dixie Bloomfield; daughter and husband, Janee and Don Schaefer; daughter, Jeannie Bloomfield; son and wife, Jay and Maryann Bloomfield; son and wife, Ward and Kathy Isaacson; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Burke and Margaret Young.
