Pioneer Resident Lived on Farm Near Dougherty 45 Years.

Dougherty- Funeral services for J. J. Beecher, 80, who died Tuesday afternoon at his home, will be held at 9:30 Friday morning, with burial at St. Patrick's cemetery. The Rev. J. J. Collins will officate.

Mr Beecher was born Jan. 15, 1858, at Iowa City and for 45 years resided on a farm near Dougherty.

Surviving are three sons, John of Dougherty, Attorney Will, of Waterloo, and Jim of Creston, four daughters, Hannah and Mrs Thomas Dolan, of Dougherty, Mrs John Cahill of Rockwell and Genevive of Mason City.
