Miss Hannah E. Beecher, 77, died Sunday at a Rockwell nursing home after a long illness.
Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dougherty. The Rev. Ronald Axen will officiate.

Miss Beecher was born Dec. 22, 1884, in Nolan Settlement, Johnson County, daughter of John and Mary (Donahue) Beecher. She moved with her parents and three brothers in 1893 to a farm near Dougherty, the present home.

She taught school several years and then retired to care for her parents during their declining years.

Surviving are three brothers, John F. Beecher, Elma; W. L. Beecher, Waterloo Attorney, and James A. Beecher, Creston, three sisters, Mrs. Tom (Mary) Dolan, Mason City; Mrs John (Ella) Cahill, Rockwell, and Miss Genevieve Beecher, Dougherty, with whom she made her home.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael.

Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Dougherty. The parish Rosary was set for 8 p.m. Thursday at the Beecher residence, Dougherty.
Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 a.m. Tuesday and then at the home in Dougherty until the time of services.
