Mrs. Geary Rites Held.

Solemn Requiem High Mass was celebrated for Mrs. Michael (Catherine) Geary, 74, Thursday
at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msg. A. J. Breen was celebrant and gave the
sermon. The Rev. Donald Hawes was deacon and the Rev. John Stark was sub-deacon.

Acolytes were John Smith and John Dougherty. Thurifer was John Moss and censer bearer,
Eddy O’Connor. Present in the sanctuary were the Rev. Leo Logan, of St.Cecelia’s Catholic
church of New Hampton, who gave the absolution at the grave, and the Rev. Phillip Dailey,
Pastor of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Whittemore.

P. W. Minert was usher at the church. Pallbearers were Walter Murphy, E. G. Dougherty,
William Kegney, Ed Noss and George Staudt, all of Dougherty, and Hank McGaheran of
Rockwell.
Burial was at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery at Dougherty. The Colonial Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
