Funeral Rites to Be Monday Morning at St. Joseph’s ChurchMrs. William Hogan, 83, long time resident of Cerro Gordo County, died early Saturday morning at her home at 508 Fifth Street SE. She had lived in Mason City twenty years, having lived previous to that in Dougherty.
Mrs. Hogan is survived by two daughters, Mrs James Cahalan, who lived at home; Mrs. James Mullen, Mason City, and two sons, John Hogan, Mason City, and William Hogan, Casey. Her husband died in 1934.
Funeral services will be held at 9 o’clock Monday morning. The Rosary was to be said at 8 o’clock Saturday at the home. The Hogan funeral home at Dougherty is in charge.

Mrs. William (Bridget) Hogan Funeral Rites Held; Burial at Dougherty (1941)
Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Joseph’s church for Mrs. William Hogan 503 Fifth Street southeast, with the Rev. Karl Kurt in charge. Father Kurt was assisted by the Rev. Richard P. Murphy and the Rev. Francis Churchill.
Pallbearers were six nephews of Mrs. Hogan. They were Edmund Kelsh, James Hogan and Edward Kaplan, all of Dougherty, Walter Hogan of Rockwell, Joseph Burns of Ackley and Byron Hogan of Mason City.
Mrs Hogan died early Saturday at her home in Mason City. Survivors include two sons, John Hogan of Mason City and Will of Casey, and two daughters, Mrs. James Cahalan and Mrs. James Mullen, both of Mason City, She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Thomas M. Hogan who died at Dougherty and Philip J. Hogan who died in France. Burial was made at Dougherty.
