Mrs Jane Conners, Pioneer Resident of Dougherty is Buried.
Dougherty- Aug. 25.- The funeral of Mrs Jane Conners, wife of John Conners, was held at St. Patrick's church where solemn high mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father Collins.
The pallbearers were William Reed, M. Murphy, J. Solberg, John Merfeld, Matt Kelsh and Barney Dougherty.Jane Cahill Conners was born Aug. 21, 1858 at Deerfield, Wis. At the age of 18, with her parents, brothers and sisters, she moved to Iowa where she lived on a farm north of Dougherty.
On Feb. 11, 1885, she was married to John Conners. They moved to their large farm west of town where they lived until 16 years ago when they moved to their beautiful town home in which she died.
Mrs Conners leaves three daughters and one son,
Mrs Hogan, William Conners, Mrs. James Hogan, Mrs Frank Reed, and 11 grandchildren, also one sister and two brothers, Mrs Thomas Conners of this place and Messrs. Jack and Henry Cahill of Mason City.
