Services for Father of Mrs. C. E. Snipps are to be Held Friday Morning.

The body of David W. Barr, 78 years old the father of Mrs. C. E. Snipps 104 Third Street Northeast, who died at Sioux Falls S. D. Tuesday afternoon, was brought here this morning by Mr. Snipps.

The body will lie in state at the Randall Funeral Home until Friday morning when it will be taken to the old homestead at Dougherty, where Mr. Barr lived for many years.

The funeral services are to be held Friday morning at St. Patrick's church at Dougherty and burial will be made in St. Patrick's cemetery by the side of his wife who died on Palm Sunday of this year.

Since the death of his wife Mr. Barr had been living with his children and it was at the home of his daughter in Sioux Falls, Mrs Fred Bickford, that he died. He had been in poor health for some time and death followed a paralytic stroke.

Mr. Barr was one of the pioneer residents of Dougherty and vicinity.
He is survived by four daughters; Mrs Fred Bickford, Sioux Falls, Mrs. C. E. Snipps, Mason City; Mrs J.H. Johnson, Artesian, S.D.; Mrs Rose Craft; Upton Wyo. and two sons, Ben Barr, Dougherty, and Jos. Barr, Upton, Wyo. He is also survived by several grandchildren.

The Rosary will be said for Mr. Barr at the Randall funeral home at 8 o'clock tonight.
