Thomas Conners Dies at Home in Dougherty

Dougherty - Thomas Conners, 88, died at his home in Dougherty at 11:45 p.m. Friday. Death was due to complications arising from age.

Mr. Conners was born on a farm near Deerfield, Wis., May 20, 1855. He had lived in Iowa for 67 years.

He married Mary Cahill in 1878, the first couple to be married in Dougherty township. His wife preceded him in death.

Surviving are three children, Mrs Daniel Hogan and Mrs Jane Solberg of Dougherty and James Conners of Minot, N. Dakota. There are fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Six of the grandsons are in the service. A brother, John, lives at Dougherty.

Funeral services will be held at Dougherty, Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic cemetery at Dougherty. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
