Prominent Dougherty Woman Dies- Funeral Will Be Held Friday. (1946)

Dougherty- Miss Emma Burke, 74, former assistant postmaster and at one time employed by the First National Bank of Dougherty, died at her home here Wednesday at 3:40 a.m. after a long illness.

Solemn high requiem mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic church Friday at 9 a.m.

Miss Burke is survived by four sisters, Sister Euna of Mt. Carmel, Dubuque; Sister Mary Martin, Chicago, and Miss Alice Burke and Mrs. Joseph Cooney of Dougherty.
