E. O'Connor Service to be Thursday

Everett L. O'Connor, 58, lifelong resident of Dougherty Township, died suddenly early Tuesday morning following a heart attack. (July 5, 1955)

He was a member of the board of directors of the Farmers Elevator of Dougherty, a trustee of the Dougherty Township and a member of the Farm Bureau, the Holy Name Society and St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dougherty.

Born June 15, 1897, on a farm near Dougherty, he was the son of James and Anna (Moran) O'Connor.
He was married to Bertha Merfeld, Sept. 10, 1930, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dougherty.
The lived on a farm since that time
Surviving are his wife, Bertha; four sons, Leo, Dougherty; John, Mount St. Bernard Seminary, Dubuque, and Donald and Eddie O'Connor at home; two sisters, Mrs Tom (Gladys) Albrecht, Greene, and Mrs Art (Irene) Holmes, Sheffield, his father, James O'Connor, Greene and a grandson,Dennis O'Connor.
Solemn Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dougherty.
After 10 a.m. Wednesday friends may call at the
O'Connor farm home until the time of service.
Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Dougherty. The Colonial Funeral Home is in charge.
