Thursday Rites for Mrs. Nixt, 80

GREENE- Mrs William Nixt, 80, died Monday at the Cedar Valley Hospital in Charles City following a lingering illness.
Margaret Theresa Dougherty was born March 10, 1881, daughter of Charles and Ellen Dougherty.
She was married to William Nixt Nov. 25, 1903, at Mason City where they lived for a time before making their home at Greene.

She is survived by her husband and four children, Mrs Claire Curtis, Everett, Bernard of Engelwood, Calif., and Mark, Lakewood, Calif.
There are 15 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Five sisters and one brother also survive, Mrs. Alice McDonough, Mrs Ralph Hogan, Mrs Agnes Ealy, and Everett, all of Mason City, and Mrs Vern Riggins and Mrs. William Boyle, both of Dougherty.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church.
