Lorraine “Lorrie” Mae Hart, 82, of Mason City, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Epiphany Parish Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., Mason City, with Rev. John Gossman officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the church. A rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. with a Scriptural Wake Service to follow. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Lorrie was born Oct. 28, 1933, the daughter of Albin and Martha (Halverson) Magnuson in Hanlontown. She married E.J. Hart on July 27, 1957, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2000.

Lorrie graduated from Hanlontown High School in 1951. She began working at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company before starting with Radiology Associates in Mason City where she would remain until retirement.

Lorrie was a member of Epiphany Parish Holy Family Catholic Church, where she participated in the St. Roseanne Circle. She was always active and enjoyed walking, gardening, camping and bowling. She liked to travel, play Bridge, golf and loved being around her family and grandchildren. One of her favorite hobbies that she enjoyed the most was dancing.

Lorrie is survived by three children, Emmett L. (Susan Brandl) Hart of Garner, John “Tim” (Miros) Hart of Mason City and Kathy (Mark) Brinn of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren, John Ricke, John Hart, Danielle Hart, Sabrina Priebe, Haley Hart, Andrew Brinn and Jaren Brinn; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Erma Holt of West Des Moines; and a brother, Arden Magnuson of Albert Lea, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Don Magnuson.
