Donald W. Schaffer, 98, Mason City, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, in the Trinity Hill Section of Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City. The Rev. Ron Stein will officiate. Please use the Monroe Avenue entrance.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his daughter, Shirley Olson, 631 S. President Ave., Mason City, IA 50401.
