Nancy Ann (VerHelst) Harris Nov. 26, 1951 - Sept. 21, 2017

Nancy Ann (VerHelst) Harris passed away Thurs., Sept. 21, 2017, at 7:05 a.m. while at Hospice of North Iowa after battling several medical complications.

Nancy was born Nov. 26, 1951, in Mason City, Iowa to William and Leona VerHelst.

She graduated from Mason City High School, then joined the armed forces where she served as a medical aide and met her husband of 44 years, Dennis Harris. Nancy enjoyed spending time with family, camping, fishing and being able to spoil her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy was survived by her husband, Dennis Harris; son, Daniel Harris; daughter, Kathleen (Tony) Corsello; son, Scott (Tami) Harris and stepson, John Harris.

Grandchildren: Jacob, Ashley, Dillon, Logan, Blake, Taylor, Braedon, Catie, Jenna, AJ and Devon.

Great-grandchildren: Carson, Carter, Zach, Brynlee, Neko, Kaleb, Cato and Clayton.

Sisters: Clarene (Roger) Backer, Mary Rasmusson, Christine (David) Whipple; brother-in-law Dale (Fletia) Harris, brother-in-law David (Nancy) Harris and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was greeted in heaven by her parents, William and Leona VerHelst, mother and father-in-law Irene and Herman Snoddy, brother Bill VerHelst, brother-in-law Clyde Rasmusson, nephew Jason Whipple and niece April VerHelst.

A graveside Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Sept. 25, 2 p.m. at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, 1224 S. Washington Ave., Mason City, Iowa.

A gathering for family and friends will be held following the service at 1205 9th St. N.W., Mason City, Iowa.

Arrangements are being handled by Hogan Bremer Funeral Home.
