Arlene “Audrey” (Austin) Hasapopoulos went to be with the Lord peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, after nearly 83 years of a full and blessed life.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Dan Gerrietts officiating.
Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave.

Audrey, a lifelong Mason City resident, was born on June 6, 1931, to Howard and Edna Austin. She married Ted in 1954. She spent many hours working in the family restaurants. After raising her children, she took up golf with enthusiasm and amazed all with her natural skill. Audrey filled her days with devotion to her husband, Ted, and their five children. Her later years were blessed with the busy lives of grandchildren.
Audrey is survived by children, Tedi Anne Hasapopoulos, Susan (Mike) Balk, Jayne (Siva) Pemmaraju, and Michael (Ezelda) Hasapopoulos; sister, Mary Lou Graff; 14 grandchildren (one to be born in June); nine step-grandchildren and their children and many nieces and nephews. Her first great- grandchild will be born in July.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; her son, Timothy; and siblings, Juanita, Everett, Gene, Charles, Marvin “Snookie,” Gerry and JoAnn.
