Rebecca Jane Trostheim, 66 of Mason City, died August 25, 2017, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017, at Faith Baptist Church, 1807 S. Kentucky Ave., Mason City, with Rev. Tim Moore officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Becky was born September 27, 1950 in Hayward, MN, the daughter of Everett and Adeline (Gajdosik) Loverink. She married Gerald Trostheim at Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Osage in 1971. They had two sons, Aaron and Shaun. They later divorced.

Becky graduated from Emmons High School, class of 1968, in Emmons, MN. She worked at Heritage Care Center in Mason City 30 plus years, along with other various nursing homes.

Becky was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Mason City. She participated in the choir and children’s ministries. She also would attend a women’s retreat with women from the church. She liked her flowers, enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking; which she then would enter in at the fair or sell at farmers market. She was a devout Christian that always read her Bible. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her two sons and grandson Nicholas. She had contentment about her. She was kind hearted, sweet, and a giving woman.

Becky is survived by two sons, Aaron Trostheim and Shaun Trostheim of Mason City; a grandson, Nicholas Trostheim of Mason City; five sisters, Anna Mae (Robert) Housholder of Janesville, CA, Rose Marie (Gordon) Beenken of Forest City, Evelyn (Ernest) Henning of Forest City, Deb (Greg) Hanson of Sauk City, MN, and Adeline (David) Benson of Lyle, MN; and a brother, Bruce Loverink of Northwood; many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Adeline Loverink; and a niece, Sarah Benson.
