Allison received her education in the Mason City Public Schools system. She was very actively involved throughout her education experience. In her younger years she attended Hoover Elementary. She loved participating even at a young age. Allison began playing the violin and piano. In sports, she was involved in figure skating, softball and swim club. In addition, her love for dance began as she both danced and acted in many productions by "The Studio for the Performing Arts."

As Allison entered Roosevelt Middle School, she added volleyball and track to her many activities.

Allison began Mason City High School and loved being a "Mohawk." She continued her involvement in both athletics and academics. She competed in volleyball and tennis lettering both her junior and senior years.

A great source of pride for Allison centered on her involvement with the Mohawk "Danzers". It was truly one of her greatest thrills to have the honor and privilege of dancing with an outstanding group of young women who brought home the school's first ever state championship her senior year.

In addition, Allison was very involved in her academics. She was on the A honor roll every semester of high school. Other recognitions included being on the CIML All Academic team throughout her high school career. She was also recognized by being on the National Honor Society her junior and senior years.

She served on various community service projects. She was also chosen "Sunrise Rotary Student of the Month". Allison played the violin for 10 years, was a member of the MCHS Orchestra and was voted president of the orchestra her senior year.

After graduating with the class of 2004, Allison proudly became an Iowa "Hawkeye," attending the University of Iowa. She was pursuing a career in International Business and Spanish. In her only semester, she made the Dean's List.
