Ruthyvonne Peck, 83, Mason City, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at her home.

A funeral service for Ruthyvonne Peck will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Clear Lake Open Bible First Church, 609 South Eighth St., Clear Lake, with Pastor Will Hunsaker officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hwy. 18 West, Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to service time on Wednesday at the church.

Ruthyvonne (Lunning) Peck, was born on Sept. 3, 1930, the daughter of Harry and Lyda (Vekre) Lunning. She received her education in the Mason City Public Schools.

Ruthy was united in marriage to Conrad Peck in Mason City, and to this marriage three sons were born, Mike, Tom, and Victor. After their marriage, Ruth helped her husband on the family farm south of Mason City, farming for 50 years. Ruth also worked for Folguns Egg Farm in Mason City.

Ruth enjoyed raising fruits and vegetables in their huge garden, growing flowers, and was very active in the Clear Lake Open Bible First Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mike, Tom, and Victor Peck, all of Mason City; two sisters, Lavonne Baker of Mason City and Harriet Casey of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a brother, Richard “Dick” Lunning of Swaledale; a grandson-in-law, Lee Hefty of Corwith; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Conrad on Aug. 15, 2004; brothers, Virgil and Elwin Lunning; a granddaughter, Amy Peck; and a daughter-in-law, Sandy Peck.
