MASON CITY — Funeral services were held Saturday, April 27, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, Humble, Texas, for Carolyn Sue (Snyder) Burmeister, 47, of Humble, formerly of Mason City, who died Tuesday (April 23, 1991) in Humble.

Dr. Ben R. Chamness officiated and burial was in Rosewood Memorial Park in Humble.

Mrs. Burmeister was born Oct. 12, 1943 in Mason City. She was a 1962 graduate of Mason City High School.

She was one of the first meter maids in Mason City and worked at Roosevelt School for about five years.

She was married to George Burmeister June 6, 1964, at the First United Methodist Church, Mason City.

Mrs. Burmeister was active in the First United Methodist Church and was a member of Ladies of the Moose, Mason City.

Survivors include her husband, George, Humble, Texas; two sons, William Burmeister, Humble, Texas, and Shawn Burmeister, with the United States Navy, Norfolk, Va.; a daughter, Ashley Burmeister, Humble, Texas; parents, Virginia and Alton "Bud" Snyder Sr., Mason City; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Enright, Buffalo Center.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Helen and Charlie Snyder and Mrs. Glenn Powers.
