Funeral Services Are to Be at Bonner Home on Monday
The funeral service for Mrs. J. D. Farrar, 77 years old, who died at Clear Lake Friday night, is to be held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Bonner funeral home with the Rev. J. F. Boeye, pastor of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial will be made in Elmwood cemetery.
Mrs. Farrar was born in Warren [County] Pa., Sept. 18, 1861, and spent her girlhood at Delaware, Wis., at which town she was married to James D. Farrar on April 9, 1877. The couple moved to Benton county and lived there until 1901, moving then to Elkhorn, Wis. In 1921 Mr. and Mrs. Farrar came to Mason City.
Her health had not been good for the last several years and she had been confined to her bed since Dec. 13.
Surviving her are her husband, 81 Ninth street, northwest; a brother, James Conklin, Delaware, Wis., and three children, George O. Farrar, Mason City; William J. Farrar, Chicago; and Mrs. D. H. Gutknecht, Hudson; in addition there are nine grandchildren; Arten and Geraldine Farrar, Mason City; Floyd, Irene, Adele, and Sybil Farrar, Chicago; and Marian and Donald Gutknecht, Hudson.
