VENTURA - Mary Elizabeth (Buehler) Perry, 82, of Ventura, died Sunday (Oct. 3, 1999) at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Fred Lewis of the United Methodist Church of Clear Lake officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel.

Memorials may be given to the Mary E. Perry Memorial Fund.

Mary was born Dec. 27, 1916, in Clear Lake, the daughter of Etna and Goldie (Goodwin) Chapman. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1935. She married George Buehler in 1938 and lived in California, Wisconsin, Chicago and Omaha, before moving back to Clear Lake. She worked at Olaf T. Hansen's for more than 25 years as a bookkeeper. Mary married Keith Perry in 1973 and they lived in Ventura.

Mary loved to sew, read and knit. She loved big band music, ballroom dancing, growing plants, her grandchildren and walking her dogs, Dolly and Baby.

Mary is survived by her three children, Brian Buehler and his wife, Diane, of Clear Lake, Diane Charney, of Halifax, Pa., and Craig Buehler and Shelia, of Dayton, Nev.; six grandchildren, Kelly Dickes and her husband, Al, of Clear Lake, Kristi Wilcke and her husband, Kevin, of Clear Lake, Robby Burke and his wife, Laura, of St. Augustine, Fla., Andy Buehler and his wife, Lisa, of Clear Lake, Tim Buehler, of LaCrosse, Wis., and Matt Buehler, of Wausau, Wis.; 10 great-grandchildren, Colby and Shelby Dickes, Ryan, Brice and Logan Wilcke, Loral and Lyle Burke, Adam and Sara Buehler and Saffron Buehler; two sisters, Cleo Prouty, of Concord, Calif., and Joann Johnson and her husband, Don, of Concord, Calif.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one brother, Clare Chapman; and one sister, Nora Urich.
