R. BOWERS DIES; RITES ARE PENDING

Ross C. Bowers, 82, formerly of 306 3rd NE, died Sunday at the IOOF Home where he had resided about the last year.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Patterson James Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Bowers, a retired truck driver, had lived in Mason City 49 years.

He was born Aug. 8, 1887, in Howard County near Cresco, the son of Joseph and Carrie (Hatter) Bowers. He was married to Marie M. Kollath Jan. 16, 1916, at Oelwein.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Central Heights and of IOOF Lodge 244 of Mason City.

Mr. Bowers is survived by a brother, Grant, at Maynard, and two sisters, Mrs. Esther Roberts, Livermore, Calif., and Mrs. Viola Von Kowsky, Sunset Drive, California.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1967.

[Interment was made at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa
