Mrs. Ross C. (Marie M.) Bowers, 77, died Sunday in a Mason City nursing home. She had lived in the community 47 years and made her home at 306 3rd NE. Mrs. Bowers was born Feb. 15, 1890, at Watertown, Wisc., daughter of Ferdinand and Mina (Kroening) Kollath. She was married to Ross C. Bowers, Jan. 16, 1916, at Oelwein.

Surviving are her husband; a sister, Helen Kollath, San Francisco, Calif., and a brother, Fred Kollath, Marathon, Wis. There are two nieces, Audrey McCoy and Lyla Heywood, both of Minneapolis, Minn.

Mrs. Bowers was a member of the Assembly of God church in Central Heights.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Visitation at the Patterson-James Chapel will be after 3 pm Tuesday. [Interment was made at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa
