Carrie Bowles Succumbs at Nursing Home

Carrie Bowles, 87, 87, died Monday evening at a Mason City nursing home. She had lived in this community 56 years, making her home at 712 Jefferson N.W.

Mrs. Bowles was born June 17, 1868, at Westfield, NY, daughter of Alexander and Mary (Connan) Couper.

Surviving are two granddaughters, Mrs. Al F. (Judith) Diaz, Mason City, and Mrs. Gerald (Jeanne) Taylor, Minburn, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, and one son.

Funeral arrangements are in complete. The Patterson-James Funeral Home is in charge.
