August 03, 2015PLYMOUTH -- Francis Bolding, 77, of Plymouth passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Kathy Graves officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, the Muse Norris Inpatient Unit, and the American Cancer Society.
Francis was born March 14, 1938, in Clear Lake, son of Clarence and Anna Henrietta "Etta" (Nelson) Bolding. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1956. On Jan. 7, 1966, Francis married the love of his life, Karen Bolding, and to this union three children were born. He worked 35 years at Holcim in Mason City.
He enjoyed spending time outside camping, fishing and hunting, going motorcycling, completing crosswords, liked to tinker and spend time with family and friends.
Francis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the North Iowa Road Riders and Mohawk Archery.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Bolding of Plymouth; two daughters: Sherry Bolding of Plymouth and Julie (Patrick) Martin of Mason City; three granddaughters: Cassady (Joshua) Sullivan, Taylor and Abigail Martin, and nieces and nephews.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ruth Bolding; brothers, Howard (Patty) Bolding, Stanley (Virginia) Bolding and Verlyn Bolding.
