MASON CITY - Mrs. Donald (Marcile) Angell, 72, of 1515 S. Delaware Ave. died Tuesday (May 15, 2001) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit after a prolonged illness.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., with the Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rockwell.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E.

Memorials may be directed to the Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City.

Marcile Angell was born on April 3, 1929, at Rockwell. She was the daughter of Hans and Nina (Duggan) Kofoot. Her school days were at Holy Family Catholic School where she graduated in 1947.

Marcile married Donald Angell at Holy Family Catholic Church on May 13, 1959. They had twins, Gary and Sherry, and a stillborn daughter.

She worked at different businesses including Metal Craft and Angell Fence Co., and was also a homemaker.

Marcile is survived by her husband, Donald, of Mason City; one son, Gary Angell and his wife, Linda, of Mason City; one daughter, Sherry Peterson and her husband, Robert, of Mason City; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Myrle Hall, of Miller, and Shirley Hopkins, of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and one brother, Jim Kofoot, of Mason City.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Myrle; and one sister, Mary Frye.

Marcile was a caring and loving person who loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
