Mrs. Robert (LaDelle L.) Angell, 76, of 313 N. Hampshire Ave., died Tuesday afternoon (June 18, 1996) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit surrounded by her family.

Funeral services for LaDelle will be held at 11 a.m. today at the First Covenant Church, U.S. Highway 18 East at Ohio, with the Rev. Richard G. Murray, pastor of the church, and assisted by Kathy Graves-Johnson, chaplain of Hospice. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation was held after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fullerton Patterson James Funeral Chapel, 123 Second St. S.E. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

LaDelle was born March 31, 1920, in Mason City, the only daughter of Reece R. and Laura (Allen) Henderson.

She attended school in Mason City and then worked as a clerk for F.W. Woolworth, before raising her family.

She was one of the first members of the First Covenant Church, where she remained a member the rest of her life. Early in her membership, she took care of the nursery and taught Sunday school.

LaDelle was united in marriage to Robert F. Angell on April 14, 1951, in Kirksville, Mo., and to this marriage were born four children.

She was a great mother and mother-in-law by having a hidden talent for giving advice only when asked.

She had been a consecutive member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary for the past 58 years and served as a president of the organization.

She was also a member of the Scampers Camping Club and enjoyed spending time at her favorite camping grounds at Sibley State Park, near Wilmer and at Alexander, Minn.

She also enjoyed playing cribbage, working puzzles and taking care of her cat.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Robert; their three daughters, Mrs. Dean (Donna) Kilgore, of Poteet, Texas; Mrs. Larry (Linda) Craig, of Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Francis (Cathy) Shannon, of Mason City; and her son, Robert B. Angell of Mason City; nine adoring grandchildren, Dean Jr., Daniel, Dustin and Dennis Kilgore, Larry Jr., and Tinamarie Craig, Laura Warner, Adam and Teresa Shannon; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Katie, Allen Joshua, TyLynn and Crystal; her four cousins; and her in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
