January 30, 1996Clara Grover, 65, formerly of 1412 N. Ohio Ave., Mason City, died Saturday night (Jan. 27, 1996) at the Nora Springs Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Fullerton Patterson James Funeral Chapel, 123 Second St. S.E., with the Rev. Eldon Jandebeur, interim pastor of the Christan Church, Nora Springs, officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Clara Grover Memorial Fund.
Clara was born on Feb. 26, 1930, at Belmond, the daughter of Lloyd and Hattie (Polmateer) Davis.
She received her education in Belmond and then lived near Albert Lea and Austin, Minn.
She was united in marriage to Francis Dale Grover in 1959 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She had made her home in Mason City ever since.
She loved to spend time fishing, camping, and boating, but most of all, she loved her family.
She was also an avid flea marketer and loved spending time at craft shows, often looking for salt and pepper shakers from each of the 50 states. She was an excellent seamstress.
She was a former member of the VFW Auxillary.
Clara will be sadly missed by her son, Floyd Harms and his wife, Kathy, of Nora Springs; two sisters, Violet Ruth Davis, of Silvam Springs, Ark., and Mary G. Smith of Rockwell; two brothers, Don L. Davis of Dumont, and William "Bud" Davis of Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Harriet Westlund of Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren, Tony Harms; Todd and his wife, Erica Harms; Janel Harms; Stacey Harms and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Taylor Harms.
